Triangle Taper Saltwater Floating Fly Line

Of the many innovations that Lee Wulff
has contributed to fly fishing, the Triangle Taper
fly line is perhaps the most popular. Winner of the coveted Kudo award,
the triangle taper offers the greatest delicacy of any fly line. The Triangle
Taper is a continuous forward taper in the head of the line, which provides the most efficient transfer of casting energy as it unrolls because the heavier line is
constantly turning over lighter line. This design also gives you a more
delicate presentation because the weight is away from the fly. It is also
the finest roll casting line for up to 60’ casts. The combination of a long
weighted section and a light running line make the triangle taper cast
like a shooting head for distance. The tip end can be customized by cutting
it back for the desired performance level.

Triangle Taper Saltwater Floating lines are all
105 feet long and feature a short forward
taper of 30 feet, and a 75’ running line. J3 coating on floating
line only.

    J3 Coating

Flies farther – Floats higher – Lasts longer

Triangle Taper fly lines just got better! J3 coating
makes Triangle Tapers perform like never before:
Shooting better, floating higher, repelling water,
and lasting longer. This slick coating has a dry feel,
which minimizes resistance for longer casts. With J3,
the line stays clean and slick for the life of the line!
    That’s because J3 isn’t simply a spray that’s applied at
    the factory – it’s a specialized coating that’s actually
integrated into the line itself, giving it years of
super-slick performance! Available on select Royal Wulff lines.
